Preliminary work continues as we neatly pile up wood debris, iron bars, and tree limbs, and sort out the litter and the trash.
The debris is ready to load into wheelbarrows and haul out to the dumpster that the City of Oakland will provide on Earth Day.
Facing us is vegetation in the storm drain and the creek which originates way above us on Tunnel Road. See photo below.
We'll be in touch with the Board members at Keep Oakland Beautiful to determine when they will assist us in removing the wood debris, sofa, palettes, scaffolding, and chain link fence that have been dumped behind the public utility.
We're getting our ice coolers, bottled water, sports drinks, and snacks ready for our crew of volunteers joining us at 9:00 a.m. on April 20, 2013!
THANK YOU FOR VOLUNTEERING and helping to restore Caldecott Lane to its natural beauty!
